Older children at Epping Primary School now have a new play space thanks to a £5,000 contribution from Qualis Property Solutions Community Benefit Fund.

The playground for Key Stage 2 pupils was condemned and a new one was estimated to cost over £30k!

The school’s PTA managed to raise £28,956 through fund raising events and matching-funding from parents and Qualis’ £5000.

The money was awarded last year in QPS’ quarterly round of allocations and now the playground is open for older children to enjoy.

Epping Primary School is one of only two primaries in Epping and has 420 spaces for children between the ages of 5 and 11 years.

“Some children might not get taken to outdoor spaces by family or carers so being able to provide this in school for them is incredible,” said Louise Warren, PTA Chair.

“Play equipment is essential in encouraging children to be outside at playtime, creating great mental wellbeing and physical opportunities to problem solve. They can work their way across the equipment using their mind to create games and challenge themselves.”
