Qualis Management and Epping Forest District Council has formed a new partnership with Energy Angels to provide council tenants with potential savings on their energy bills.
The partnership provides a 100% impartial energy price comparison service enabling customers to switch energy suppliers and potentially save money in minutes. This is coupled with a service to deal quickly with any meter problems before the property is relet.
Ben Johnson, Managing Director of Qualis Management said, “We are really pleased to be working with Energy Angels to provide our customers with a choice to be able to choose the provider when moving in and a tariff that suits them. Recent months have seen a rise in UK household utility bills following a surge in oil prices, coupled with the lifting of the price cap on gas and electricity prices so this service will give them the ability to potentially reduce household bills.
“The service will also enable us to save time and money by clearing and resetting meters much quicker, with a commitment from Energy Angels of just four hours, meaning our teams can begin maintenance work sooner and get new customers into their homes quicker.”
Deborah Fenton, Director of Housing and Property at Epping Forest District Council said, “The moving process is always a difficult and stressful time for customers. This new partnership will reduce the amount of time spent waiting for the work to be carried out during the void, as any meter issues are dealt with promptly, therefore speeding up the process, so customers can move in quicker.”
As part of the partnership, smart meters will also be fitted to homes during void periods to help manage future energy usage and costs and customers will be given the option to use 100% green energy tariffs.
