In May 2023, Qualis Property Solutions (QPS) expanded its service offering to include the delivery of grounds maintenance services on behalf of Epping Forest District Council (EFDC). Since then, we have increased customer satisfaction by 10%. We have also been awarded a gold certificate in the Best Kept Playing Fields competition from the Essex Playing Fields Association for the quality of our work at Roding Valley Recreation Ground.
The services offered by our grounds maintenance team include grass cutting, hedge and shrub maintenance, weed spraying, litter picking, footpath edging and pathway/alleyway clearance. This work plays an essential role in maintaining safe and welcoming community spaces across the Epping Forest District.
Since we have started delivering grounds maintenance services, we have introduced a visual standard and scorecard, as well as monthly site inspections. This ensures we consistently deliver the highest quality services.
We are delighted that customer satisfaction with grounds maintenance services has increased by 10% as of March 2024.
“We are very pleased that our efforts to deliver a consistently high standard of service are playing dividends,” said QPS Head of Operations Maria Sharples.
“These results are a team effort and I would like to recognise everyone in grounds maintenance for their hard work over the past year.”
The result adds another win to the team’s list of achievements and follows their recognition last year by the Essex Playing Fields Association. The Association awarded the team a gold certificate in their annual Best Kept Playing Fields competition for their work at Roding Valley Recreation Ground. The competition started in 1971 and has run annually ever since.
“The award was public recognition of our efforts and gave the team a fantastic boost,” Maria said.
“We are not resting on our laurels though and remain focused on building on these achievements in the months ahead.”
These improvements include reviewing how we can better make use of ICT technology. We are also recruiting more staff and delivering ongoing training to existing team members.
Some of the compliments we’ve received from our service users include:
“The grounds people are hardworking and meticulous of their jobs.”
“Things have started to look better, please carry-on making improvements!”
“The grounds men were very good and helpful, a good service, thank you.”
