Ambitious plans to redesign the outdoor play area at Ivy Chimneys School have made a giant leap forward with work to install a giant sandpit now complete.
The new sandpit provides a much-needed space for the students to engage in creative and active play, while also serving as an important area for socialisation and learning. The addition is expected to make a significant positive impact on the daily experience of pupils at the school, enhancing both their educational and social development.
Qualis donated £5,000 to the Friends of Ivy Chimneys School to bring the project to fruition. The grant was provided through Qualis’ Community Benefit Fund, which is run in partnership with Epping Forest District Council.
“We’re excited to see this project come to life, as it will not only provide a fun space for the children but also an environment that fosters social interaction and learning,” said Qualis Property Solutions Managing Director Ben Johnson.
“Supporting projects which enhance community well-being is at the heart of the Community Benefit Fund and we’re thrilled to contribute to such an important project.”
Siobhán Garrett at Friends of Ivy Chimneys School led the fundraising activities.
“Engaging in play is integral to the holistic development and well-being of primary school children,” she said.
“By supporting play initiatives in primary schools, we are not only enriching children’s educational experiences but also nurturing their overall well-being and laying the foundation for lifelong learning and success.
“We are extremely grateful for the donation from the Community Benefit Fund which will not only benefit the current cohort of children who attend Ivy Chimneys School but also those future generations of our Ivy Community,” she added.
