A holiday to Folkestone in August for adults with mental health issues is being supported by Qualis Property Solutions through its Community Benefit Fund.
The Open Door Friendship Club is a charity, based in Loughton, and each year around 15 members take a short holiday at a hotel in Folkestone, which they fund themselves. Our £500 donation will help pay for travel to and from the venue.
The Club was established in 2018, funded by Lottery Grant and meets in the Methodist Church Hall, High Road, Loughton on Fridays between 2.30pm – 5.30pm.
One of its aims is to encourage members who feel isolated to join the wider community and many have gone on to being employed.
The annual holiday provides an excellent opportunity for members to engage with others they don’t already know and coax them out of their comfort zone in a friendly supportive environment.
