Following concerns about the potential for the balustrading on the upper levels of the Cottis Yard car park to be climbed, we have put in place temporary barriers and are patrolling the car park 24 hours a day.
This proactive and precautionary action reflects our commitment to putting safety first.
We are working with all those involved in the delivery of the car park to understand what, if any, permanent action is needed.
All levels of the car park remain open and will remain open while our investigation continues. We encourage everyone to continue to use the car park in the meantime and make the most of the free weekend parking which is in place until the end of December.
