Our Community Benefit Fund not only supports large-scale projects but also grass-roots events and initiatives. Think community fairs, school activities, days out, educational and cultural activities to name just a few!
We recognise the value these projects bring to our community and the challenge organisers often face in fundraising and securing support.
Our Small Grants Scheme forms part of our Community Benefit Fund and offers grants up to £500. The application process is simple and applications can be submitted at any time for review by our panel of housing tenants, council and Qualis representatives.

Forest Creative Writers Group
This Loughton community group provides a supportive and encouraging space for budding and experienced writers. The group meets weekly and our £500 grant helped the group cover its overhead costs and produce an annual anthology of select works.
Hyde Mead House Coffee Club away day
Our £500 donation covered costs of a canal day boat trip for members of Hyde Mead House Coffee Club at Hyde Mead House, an Independent Living Scheme in Nazeing. The club and the activities it offers aim to reduces loneliness and isolation for residents, with the day trip proving a huge success.
Ongar Honey
Our £250 small grant will be used to buy educational props to support Ongar Honey in growing its education programme to teach the next generation about the life cycle of bees, the importance of pollinators, and we can provide support through simple actions like planting pollinator-friendly gardens.
1st Roydon Brownies and Guides
We donated £150 to provide basic equipment to enable 1st Roydon Brownie and Guides to add a Guid pack to their existing Brownie pack.
