Waltham Abbey’s King Harold Academy recently hosted its annual Mock Interview Day and we were delighted to participate. The day is designed to give Year 11 students the opportunity to practise their interviewing skills with local employers and receive feedback in a safe and supportive environment. Doing so means students are better prepared and more confident when applying in a real environment.
We have supported this event for several years, with Maria Sharples, Stuart Thompson and Debbie Casey from our Qualis Property Solutions team acting as interviewers on the day.
Head of Customer Experience Debbie Casey enjoyed the experience and was impressed with how open students were to participating and taking on board feedback.
“Many of the students had typed up their CVs and Personal Statements and we gave them useful tips around how to present themselves at interviews and what employers look for,” she said.
“It is always so interesting meeting and hearing the children speak about their interests and their future aspirations once they have completed their exams next year,” she added.
