Qualis Property Solutions’ Jake Evans has been recognised at the prestigious National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) 2024 awards, with the Epping local taking home the ‘Rising Star’ award last night.
The NHMF represents housing providers across the country to promote best practice in social housing. The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of those in the sector.
At just 28-years old, Jake is a worthy winner for the Rising Star award. In the 10 years since beginning his career as a fresh faced 18-year-old working with Epping Forest District Council as a multi-skilled apprentice, Jake has completed his apprenticeship, qualified as a plumber and now works as Senior Operations Manager at Qualis Property Solutions, where he oversees a team of around 50 staff to deliver property maintenance services on behalf of Epping Forest District Council.
“Jake is a well-respected, capable leader who always gives 100%, motivates his team to do the same and is absolutely committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers” said Qualis Property Solutions Managing Director Ben Johnson.
“All of us at Qualis Property Solutions are so proud of him – he really is a rising star! – and we are delighted that he has received this recognition.”
“I was shocked but so happy to be announced as the winner of this award,” said Jake.
“I’ve always been motivated in my career to succeed and this is a real milestone for me,” he added.
“I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of my team at Qualis though and want to thank them for their support and encouragement.”
Jake was presented his award last night at an awards dinner hosted by the NHMF.
“It was a fantastic night full of glitz and glamour but I’m back to the day job now – and happy to be so!” said Jake.
