Qualis Commercial, Qualis Group’s development business, is to work in partnership with Epping Forest District Council to progress redevelopment proposals for Centric Parade on Loughton High Road and two sites on the Brooker Road Industrial Estate in Waltham Abbey.
The work for the Council-owned sites is to be funded through a £1,020,000 Investment and Regeneration Reserve. The Reserve was approved by Epping Forest District Council Cabinet earlier this week.
The Council has appointed Qualis to develop proposals for both sites to support them in achieving their objectives of creating new places for people to live, play, gain skills and do business.
The initial proposals include the delivery of modern commercial facilities at both sites and new homes on Loughton High Road. Qualis Commercial will use its planning and regeneration expertise to assess the feasibility, before progressing these through consultation and the planning system.
The proposals will be developed in close consultation with local stakeholders, including existing tenants.
“These are two exciting redevelopment opportunities with the potential to deliver new commercial opportunities, new jobs and new homes for the local community,” said Qualis Commercial Head of Development Jennifer Currier.
“We look forward to working with the Council, the existing tenants and the local community to develop plans for both sites.”
Qualis Commercial is already supporting the redevelopment of the Brooker Road Industrial Estate. It has recently completed the construction of the first of four new industrial units, called Waltham Connect, with delivery of the remaining units scheduled this summer.
