In May we sponsored the inaugural Matching 10k Run, raising funds for the local community.
Our £500 donation helped launch the event which attracted around 500 runners and 100 volunteers. It raised £10,000 which has been split between Matching Green Primary C of E School and St Mary’s Church Matching.
The run was part of the popular May Day celebrations, bringing new life to the community celebrations, particularly as it was started by celebrity Penny Lancaster!

“The route took runners through the beautiful rural landscapes of west Essex and east Hertfordshire,” said Director, Darren Olley.
“It was a truly unique experience, as this route can only be accessed on this one day as part is on private land opened exclusively for this race event!
We would like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity and also The Community Benefit Fund administered by Qualis for their grant.
There are two main aims of the Matching 10K Run, firstly to bring together the local community to enjoy an organised 10K Run, and secondly to raise funds for local Matching organisations.”
